I am creative, innovative and love challenges in my work. I am social, interested, open-minded and always keep an overview of complicated situations by responding quickly and establishing links. When I can fathom problems and devise interventions to help people move forward, I get enthusiatic. I combine my personal and empathic way of working with a more factual and solution-oriented approach. This creates trust and clarity.
After graduating from the University of Maastricht with a degree in International Tax Law, I worked as a tax lawyer for Ernst & Young Tax Consultants. I branched out on my own after ten years as a self-employed tax consultant. Since 2017 I have been registered as a certified mediator, registered with the Dutch Mediators Federation (MfN), specialising in Family, Team, Workplace and Employment mediation. With the certificate KIES (Child in a divorce) mediator I can conduct qualified interviews with children as part of a divorce mediation process. I also followed the education Register Financieel Echtscheidingsadviseur (Registered Financial Divorce Counselor. In addition to my work as a mediator, I am the confidential contact person of Hockeyclub HC Scoop and work as a neighbourhood mediator for Stichting Proteion.

I am curious about the person behind a case and I am a good listener. I naturally tend to approach situations neutrally and objectively. I inspire trust with my calm demeanour and my ability to read between the lines enables me to build bridges between people in complicated situations. I feel energised when I realise that there is margin for discussion again -sometimes even humour- and that it’s possible to help the parties involved find a good solution for their conflict with the right interventions.
After graduating from the University of Maastricht with a degree in Dutch law, I worked as a lawyer and substitute judge. I subsequently switched to the business community as an employment lawyer and in-house mediator. Since 2017, I have been registered as a certified mediator registered with the MfN, specialising in Family, Team, Workplace and Employment mediation. As a qualified KIES mediator, I conduct interviews with children as part of a divorce mediation process. In addition to my work as a mediator, I also work as a neighbourhood mediator for Stichting Proteion.
